Following the presentation, Larry Bjork, President of Surf City Rotary Sunrise, presented a check to R Star Foundation in the amount of $250. Generally, financial gifts are not given to speakers, so it was a lovely and welcome surprise.
Rosalind, the Founder of R Star stated the Surf City Rotary Club was extremely friendly, warm, and welcoming. As a speaker, she also stated, “I have been to hundreds of Rotary Clubs in the world, but this one stands out for the easy warmth and attentiveness as they gave me. It was worth my effort to get up by 5:15 a.m. to arrive on time, starting my day with fun and likeminded people. The breakfast was really good too!”
